Palau International Coral Reef Center is the ocean research center in the small Pacific island, Micronesia. As this center expanded the research areas from coral reef area to open ocean in 2019, the center renewed the logo. The yellow triangle which indicates the sail inherited from the former logo, then added a second one as open ocean. Left one indicates the open ocean, right ons coral reef area. Light blue and yellow are the flag colors of Palau. The 4 triangles pattern on the yellow sail means giant clam in traditional style, it was said Palau was born from Giant clam in the Genesis story of Palau.
